Impersonation Scams Target Mainland Students in Hong Kong, With Losses Reaching HK$8 Million

The largest reported loss exceeded HK$8 million, and one case involved a victim being lured to Thailand and persuaded to stage an 'abduction' despite prior anti-scam training.
